WHO WE ARE

Started in 1998, the Yellow Creek Watershed Restoration Committee is a group of people who have volunteered to help preserve and restore the quality of the Yellow Creek Watershed.  The officers are Dave Miller, Chairman; Joe Kmatz, Vice-Chair; and Betsy Cain, Secretary.

The watershed covers four counties in Ohio including Carroll, Columbiana, Harrison and Jefferson.

Composed of concerned citizens, land owners, business owners, local, state, and federal government agencies, we have steadily gained support in the past few years.  The Committee has been very successful in applying for and acquiring grants.  These grant dollars are then used to assess the condition of the watershed through water testing and land-use inventory.
